After installing Lucee 4.5.2.018 with the Vivio Technologies installer on Amazon Linux with Apache it won’t automatically start when rebooting the EC2 instance. Even if you select it to start during the install process.

Edit the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file ( It loads after everything else on the machine ) and add the following to the end of the file:

/opt/lucee/lucee_ctl start

I used rc.local since I have other things in there for my instance’s boot process. The installer should put it in /etc/init.d/ folder so that you can use chkconfig.

Check out August Kleimo’s Post on installing Lucee if you want to do it that way.
